On Friday 11 December 2020, Joreen Richardson and Becky Hankin were crowned winners of this year’s Nottingham Law School Client Interviewing Competition. Megan Shirley (NLS Lecturer) was joined by two guest judges in the Final; Julie Higginbottom (NLS Pastoral Advisor) and Oliver Maxwell (Senior Solicitor from Nelsons).
This year the competition was run online so the entrants had the additional challenge of working in pairs from different locations to interview and advise their client. All entrants coped admirably with this and displayed a very high level of interviewing skills. The competition was open to undergraduate and postgraduate students, with entrants from the LLB, LLM LPC and the BTC.
Joreen and Becky are second year LLB students. All of the judges were extremely impressed by the level of their performance and praised their friendly professionalism. They will now go on to represent the university at the National Client Interviewing Competition in the New Year. We wish them the best of luck!
